TIMELINE
An example timeline for a typical event.
Over the years, we've performed at festivals, military bases, numerous corporate events, and over 1000 weddings/functions. Every booking is different - we've certainly gained a lot of experience! We do find that private clients often ask for guidance on the evening's timeline; so here is an example...
6:00pm
This is usually when the band will arrive, load in and set up. This takes around an hour, and can usually be done fairly discreetly.
7:00 - 7:30PM
Soundcheck will normally take place at around this time, and usually takes ten minutes or so - slightly longer if there's a sound limiter. People often worry that soundcheck will intrude upon their meal or early evening drinks, but it can always wait until later. We normally find that, if anything, audiences enjoy the soundcheck as it gives them a taste of what's to come!
8:30 - 9:00pm
We normally recommend the first 60 minute set to start at around this time. Often later can be better, especially during Summer when guests will often be enjoying drinks outside! We will usually then take a short break before the last set, during which we will provide background music from our carefully curated playlists.
10:00 - 10:30pm
Our second 60 minute set will usually start at around this time. Some venues do prefer live music to finish at 11:00 or 11:30pm, but we've played until midnight and beyond on many occasions! While packing down we are usually asked to play background music for a short while as people are finishing drinks or having one final dance.

Frequently asked questions.
What are the band’s requirements?
We require a hot meal for each band member and at least two power sockets. We require a stage size of at least 3 x 5m, and bottled water onstage.
What about payment?
This can be either cash, cheque or BACS. A 50% deposit will be required when booking the date, with the remainder being payable one month before your event.
How long do you play for?
We usually play two 60 minute sets, but also offer the option of three 40 minute sets which some clients find helpful. Our contract usually stipulates ending at midnight and some venues may only be licensed until 11:00 or 11.30pm.
Can I choose your setlist?
We are experts at reading the room and we have several planned medleys for that “surprise and delight” factor. However, if you want to choose a few likes/dislikes from our repertoire, we’ll happily build a set around those.
Do you have a DJ service?
We have three levels of DJ service starting with background music in-between sets and running right up to a fully spec’d DJ booth with lighting rig. This can be negotiated as part of the booking.
Can you provide acoustic music?
Yes, our frontman specialises in this. Our acoustic duo is ideally suited, too! We also provide a carefully curated background music playlist for the times when we are not playing, designed to create the right atmosphere at all points of the evening.
My venue requires PAT/PLI certificates. Do you have these?
Yes. The band is insured for £10 million public liability which is far more than most venues stipulate. Our equipment is fully PAT tested every year. Certificates are available upon request. We also carry electronic copies with us at all times in case the venue asks on the day.
Do you provide PA/lighting?
We come as standard with LED and laser lighting for the stage area and up to 6000w of power, which we find covers us for most small to medium-sized events. For larger events, we normally find a more substantial PA or lighting rig is already being hired in. If not, we have options for you.
Our venue has an extremely low noise limit. Are we stuck with just a DJ?
No. We’re very experienced at dealing with limiters and we have specialist equipment which allows us to tailor our setup to your venue. Don’t worry; we’re happy to liase with the venue so the technical side is not your problem. Our acoustic duo is also ideal for this type of event!
The function we’re planning is extremely small. Should we have a band at all?
We’ve played for as many as 70,000 and as few as 14. There are very few situations that will faze us. We are happy to wait discreetly while your guests eat a meal, and we’re not afraid of small children or dogs! If you want a band, book away.
Will you play for the military?
We love military gigs and we’re used to the procedure. Get in touch!
